Google. A revolutionary update for mobile phones will extend battery life by 3 hours

The rapid battery drain issue is a concern for many mobile phone users. In this context, it appears that Google is working to address this by updating the Android 15 operating system. According to reports, the time it takes for a phone to enter standby mode (also known as “Doze”) will be reduced by about 50%, resulting in an approximately three-hour increase in battery life on some devices.

This improvement means that phones running Android 15 will enter standby mode more quickly, reducing battery consumption when the device is not in use for an extended period. While it’s not guaranteed that the additional time will always be three hours, it does indicate that the system will be more efficient in battery usage.

Interestingly, Google released Android 14 in October last year, and the new Android 15 system is expected to be launched in the fall of 2024. It will be introduced alongside the Google Pixel 9 phone, a significant step toward enhancing the mobile phone user experience
